K-Pop is truly going global! In some major industry news announced today, MGM Worldwide Television Group is teaming up with South Korea’s SM Entertainment to develop a competition series where they’ll be forming a new K-Pop group that will be based in the United States. The new group will be called “NCT-Hollywood” and will be the latest sub-unit of NCT, which currently has 23 members and 3 sub-units: NCT 127, based in Seoul, South Korea, NCT Dream, a teen-only group, and WayV which is based in China. The search will be open to male artists aged 13-25 and will be flown to Seoul for training at SM Entertainment where they will further their skills in dance, vocals and style, and will be judged/mentored by SM Founder Soo-Man Lee as well as various NCT members.
