Following almost a month of tension between SB19 and their former management, ShowBT Philippines regarding the rumored ban of using the group name and logo for promotions, SB19 and their current management, 1Z Entertainment, have confirmed that there has been an “amicable agreement” through a “fair and equitable resolution.” Fans started to notice that the group’s introductions were just their first names, sans SB19, at multiple events and promotional materials last month, leading to the curiosity that something may be brewing behind the scenes. This was later confirmed after the unfortunate cancellations and postponement of multiple tour stops for the Asia leg of the group’s PAGTATAG! world tour in which the announcements did not include their group name or logo.
On December 5th, 1Z Entertainment, the agency self-established by SB19 members: Josh, Stell, Ken, and Justin, and headed by its CEO, the group’s leader, Pablo, released an official statement providing an update on their group brand.
“We formally announce that we have come to an amicable agreement with ShowBT Philippines Corp. through a fair and equitable resolution. Thank you for your patience and unwavering support toward SB19 and 1Z Entertainment. Pablo, Josh, Stell, Ken, and Justin eagerly anticipate reconnecting with all of you in their upcoming endeavors. We can’t wait to see you all again soon.”
The announcement led to a sigh of relief and celebration for their dedicated A’TIN, which resulted in the hashtags #MahlimaIsBack and ATIN ANG SB19 to trend worldwide. SB19 will make their much anticipated debut on the Asia Artist Awards (AAA) stage on December 14th which will be held at the Philippine Arena where the event highlights some of the top talent in K-Pop and features some of South Korea’s most beloved actors and actresses, as well as appearances from stars hailing from China and Japan. Representing the Philippines, SB19 will be joined by fellow boy group, HORI7ON, Ben&Ben, Melai Cantiveros, Daniel Padilla, and Kathryn Bernardo.
Looks like SB19 is eager to reunite with their beloved A’TIN as soon as possible! Congratulations to the group, 1Z Entertainment, and A’TIN. Stay tuned for more updates!
