Filipino stars KD Estrada and Alexa Ilacad have embarked on their first international short film together titled, Toss Coin. Directed by the famed Cathy Garcia-Sampana, who helmed hit films, “The Hows Of Us,” and “Hello, Love, Goodbye,” Toss Coin revolves around the story of Pia (Alacad) who goes down memory lane revisiting all of the special places she and her ex-boyfriend visited, hoping to bump into him again to rekindle their love. As Pia ventures throughout Hong Kong, a musician named Kiko (Estrada) follows along through her journey.

Toss Coin takes place in Hong Kong, China and is a part of the mini film anthology, Hong Kong In The Lens by Asian Directors, a film series project that bridges cultures across Asia to showcase the diversity and authentic beauty of the city. Although the short film’s runtime is only 12 minutes, their beloved KDLex Sweethearts have supported the duo’s project in full force and can’t wait to see them in a feature film! Both KD and Alexa who have established their individual careers in acting and music, have successfully become some of the top artists in the Philippines today, and continue to be on an upward trajectory.
