After two years of releasing incredible singles that have pulled in fans from all over the world, VXON have finally released their first, full-fledged album, 20:20, which gave the group an opportunity to share their stories through the lyrics, as well as highlight their exceptional talents in writing and producing. Since their debut back in 2022 under Cornerstone Entertainment, C13, Sam, Franz, Vince, and Patrick have released hit singles such as “The Beast,” “P.S.” and “Breaking Bad,” and have now taken on a huge new milestone in their career with the release of 20:20, a 9-track album that features solo releases and collaborations with other artists – MC Einsten, G22’s AJ, and solo singer, Zephanie. The vision is clear and their artistry is perfectly reflected in this album which showcases the group’s colors, but also individually, with the album ranging in various genres from ballads to hip-hop and everything in between, giving importance to the first-hand stories of imperfect, young adults using music to document life’s realities.
Dubbed as “The Monsters of P-Pop,” VXON’s 20:20 includes: “S.S.P. (Saksak sa Puso),” a song about betrayal, anger and disappointment, “Kalaw,” a nostalgic ballad reminiscing past love and the hopes for another chance, “Gamu-gamo (Sam ft. MC Einstein),” a hip-hop tune that delves into the complexities of toxic love, highlighting the allure and danger of unhealthy relationships, “Coco (Vince and Patrick),” a fiery dance track that sings about succumbing to temptation and embracing desire, “O Kay Sarap (C13 ft. G22’s AJ Yape),” an honest and sensual collaboration that celebrates living in the moment with your lover, “Miss na Kita (Franz ft. Zephanie),” a soulful ballad about regret and longing for lost love, “KNT (Kanta Ng Tanga),” a total bop about unrequited love and the frustration of mixed signals, “Lisan (Stripped Ver.),” an intimate track amplifying the desire to reconcile and find the strength to move on, and previously released “Sandal” closing out the album, a motivational anthem that encourages the listener to be resilient and to chase their dreams.
VXON’s main vocal, Franz shares, “Each track has a story. One of our main themes in this album is vulnerability and each song is inspired by life experiences, introducing the members of VXON. We think you’ll definitely get to know us better through the tracks on this album.” As per the group’s leader and main rapper, C13, “We really shared our whole heart and soul into this album. You won’t just see the VXON that you’ve always known, but a new, different side to VXON.” In a recent interview we had with the group during the release of “Sandal,” the members revealed that they went out of town to stay at a private location for a few days to really focus on songwriting while enjoying the creative process of it all. According to Vince, “we had different activities and challenges” during this trip to really be able to “create these individual songs.” Even though the album features solo tracks, Vince ensured that the entirety of 20:20 was truly a group effort stating, “Despite the solo track, we didn’t have individual learnings [through the process]. We really made sure to help each other, there was still teamwork.”
The group hasn’t been alone on this journey, always making sure to thank their beloved Vixies (VXON’s fan base) even dedicating their tracks “KNT (Kanta Ng Tanga” and “O Kay Sarap” to their ever-loving and supportive fans.
Be sure to share it with your friends and family and let us know what your favorite track is – 20:20 is now available on all music streaming platforms worldwide!
