The time has finally come for the last member of SB19 to make their solo debut! Following Ken (aka FELIP,) PABLO, Josh Cullen, and Justin De Dios, SB19’s main vocal is ready to take center stage and shine bright with his solo debut single titled, “Room.” Just a few days ahead of his 29th birthday on June 16th, Stell had been teasing his highly-anticipated solo debut through snippets of daily cover videos posted to his social media pages, further fueling speculation that new music from the singer was near.
On June 7th, it was confirmed that Stell would be releasing his very first single as a solo artist by sharing the announcement on X along with a 30 second clip that showcases the singer on his way to an audition at an open mic club. While there weren’t any hints in the clip of what the song could sound like, A’TIN and Berries (Stell’s fandom) took to social media to share their exciting theories, including a potential jazzy Bruno Mars vibe or a serious/emotional ballad, something that Stell is very well-known for executing flawlessly.
While SB19 as a whole creates and releases catchy tunes within the realm of a pop/r&b/rap/dance sound, each member’s solos have truly impressed audiences worldwide as it incorporates distinct sounds and aesthetics, perfectly highlighting their strengths as artists and individuals. The group’s consistently sold-out headlining concerts are a great example of the different musical colors each SB19 member has as they perform solo stages: Ken (FELIP) known to have a darker, rocker vibe; PABLO who leans more towards a heavy rap sound; Josh who channels a more R&B discography; and Justin, who brings a dreamy folk sound through his music. We’re sure many fans and followers are looking forward to what Stell can bring to the table now that it’s his turn!
