Filipina-American actress, writer, producer, Sari Arambulo, leads the cast of slasher horror movie, Bloody Axe Wound, officially released back in December 2024 but now exclusively streaming on Shudder – a platform hub of AMC’s horror, thriller, and supernatural content. Uncle Peckerhead director, Matthew John Lawrence, serves as the writer and director for Bloody Axe Wound, while Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Hilarie Burton Morgan, Mary Stuart Masterson, Liz DeCesare O’Leary, Jordan Manekin Topper, and Meg Mortimer serve as producers for the film.

Bloody Axe Wound follows the story of teen character Abbie Bladecut, played by Sari Arambulo, who lives in a small town called Clover Falls and finds the challenges of living her life as a normal teenager versus continuing the disturbing history of their family traditions. Roger, played by Billy Burke, is Abbie’s father and is known for capturing real-life murders on tape and selling them to disturbed customers. Will Abbie continue the family “business” or will something, or someone, change her mind?
