Filipino supergroup SB19 is entering a defining new era in their career with the release of their expansive 24-track album, Wakas at Simula, arriving just ahead of their landmark debut at Lollapalooza in Chicago. The project captures both the culmination of their journey and the beginning of a more global-facing chapter for the P-pop trailblazers.

A standout moment from the album comes in the form of “Emoji,” their high-profile collaboration with Jolin Tsai. The track, which blends dynamic pop elements with global influences, is brought to life through a visually striking music video that leans into a futuristic, metaverse-inspired concept filled with neon lights, digital effects, and synchronized choreography. In the video, SB19 and Jolin move seamlessly between contrasting visual worlds, mirroring the song’s themes of curated identities and deeper emotions. The collaboration itself marks a significant step forward for SB19 as they continue to expand their reach internationally.

Beyond “Emoji,” Wakas at Simula showcases the group’s versatility, featuring tracks that range from the smooth R&B stylings of “Memories” to the darker, experimental sound of “Everblack”. The album also revisits their earlier work with re-recorded versions of songs from their Pagsibol EP, now refined through years of growth and experience. The project also includes “Toyfriend,” a collaboration with BE:FIRST, further emphasizing SB19’s commitment to cross-cultural artistry.

In addition to the album release, SB19 continues to break new ground! Aside from the announcement of their participation at Lollapalooza, the group has joined Weverse, expanding their global fan engagement, and is also set to perform at Summer Sonic later this year. Their upcoming trilogy finale concert on April 18 at the SMDC Festival Grounds is expected to be a major celebration of this era.

With a genre-spanning album, visually ambitious releases, and major international milestones on the horizon, SB19 proves that Wakas at Simula is more than just a title – it’s a powerful statement of evolution, ambition, and global impact.
