The cast and crew of Minari definitely have lots to celebrate today! 6 major categories to be exact. In this morning’s Oscar nominations announcement, history was made. Steven Yeun snagged the Best Actor nomination for his performance in Minari and this would mark Yeun to be the first ever Asian-American performer to be recognized in the Lead Actor category. Emile Mosseri was nominated for Best Original Score, Lee Isaac Chung for Best Original Screenplay, Yuh-Jung Youn as Best Supporting Actress, Lee Isaac Chung for Best Director and of course, Minari as Best Picture. The 2021 Academy Awards will be taking place on April 25th. Congratulations, Minari family!
