OPM legends Martin Nievera and Lani Misalucha teamed up once again for an incredible concert, this time, at the Solaire Theatre for their show “New Day.” The duo kicked off the concert with a fun and informative video clip of the procedures and guidelines the artists and staff had to follow leading up to the virtual concert. The show featured Martin and Lani, as well as a full back-up band who were all masked up and socially distant. Martin and Lani’s first song was Diana Ross’ “Can You Feel A Brand New Day,” which was absolutely fitting for the show! They then went on to sing Spiral Staircase’s legendary song “I Love You More Today Than Yesterday,” showing off the fun chemistry between the two artists. Martin started off his solo set which featured Louis Ocampo songs and even sang one of our personal favorite songs, “You Are My Song.” After Martin’s solo set, Lani came back on stage where the singer shared the struggles and difficulty she faced over the past few months where her health was threatened, causing her to think twice about continuing her career. After her emotional confession, Lani went on to sing her solo set. Notable guests were in attendance at the show, including the “Hitmakers,” Rey Valera, Nonoy Zuniga and Marco Sison who sang their hits and included Martin in the last bit of their set, bringing an incredible performance! With the world’s current situation, the “New Day” concert was something we desperately needed, and while virtual, did bring a sense of normalcy once again. We had the chance to talk to Martin and Lani prior to the concert during their global press-conference, in which Arambulo Live’s host, Nikki, asked the legends what the key is to their long-lasting careers and success.
