Marking this as the group’s first official comeback, BGYO has just dropped the official music video for their track, “The Baddest”. In a secret agent/super-spy concept, Gelo, Akira, JL, Mikki and Nate are recruited by superstar actress, Liza Soberano (as BB. Haliya, the leader of the ACE Elite Secret Service) to fight what appears to be a dragon. The music video showcases what their ACE’s have expected from the group since their debut: vocals, choreography and visuals! While the powerful and edgy lyrics are predominantly in English, the group pleasantly surprises the listener with rap lines in Tagalog, which are noted to have been written by members Gelo and Akira. The choreography for this new track is something we can’t miss talking about because BGYO shows a fresh, crisp and in-sync performance that we’re sure many are looking forward to seeing live! Gelo, Akira, JL, Mikki and Nate also play various characters throughout the video, presenting their never-before-seen acting chops – and we’re impressed! Since the track’s official release, it has already topped several music charts and is included in Spotify’s RADAR and New Music Friday lists as well as grabbing the No. 1 spot on the iTunes Philippines charts! Take a look at the full music video for “The Baddest” down below. Congratulations, BGYO!
