The septet visited President Moon Jae In for the ceremony where he presented each member with a certificate of appointment, a diplomatic passport, and a fountain pen and was followed by a group photo to commemorate the special and exciting day. BTS now officially has the responsibility to carry out their duties as a special presidential envoy for future generations and culture, with their first project set to be in the United States where BTS along with President Moon Jae In will fly in from September 19 to 23 for the 76th United Nations General Assembly. In regards to the travel concerns during the ongoing pandemic, the group’s company, Big Hit Music, has also revealed that prior to this trip, the members and attending staff have all been “vaccinated for their activities as a special envoy and other plans abroad,” and that they are “preparing new performances in a format and schedule that is feasible. Once the plans related to performances are confirmed, we will provide a separate announcement.” Congratulations BTS!
