Elizabeth Yu, Maria Zhang, And Yvonne Chapman Added To The Cast Of “Avatar: The Last Airbender”

It looks like the highly-anticipated Netflix live-action of “Avatar: The Last Airbender” has added more characters to the already exciting lineup! It was announced that the series has finally found their Azula, Suki, Avatar Kyoshi, Yukari and Gran Gran. Elizabeth Yu is set to play Azula, the daughter of Fire Lord Ozai and sister to Zuko, who is a fire-bending prodigy and perfectionist who will fight to secure her position as the heir to the throne. Playing the character of Suki, is Maria Zhang, the leader of an elite female fighting force known as the Kyoshi Warriors. Yvonne Chapman will bring the role of Avatar Kyoshi to life, a character known for her bravery, unbeatable fighting skills and dedication to the cause of justice. Also joining the cast is Tamlyn Tomita, who will play Suki’s mother Yukari, and Casey Camp-Horinek, set to play Gran Gran – the loving matriarch of the Southern Water Tribe, and is Katara and Sokka’s grandmother.

The five new characters will join the previously announced cast members: Gordon Cormier (Aang), Kiawentiio (Katara), Ian Ousley (Sokka), Dallas Liu (Zuko), Daniel Dae Kim (Fire Lord Ozai), Paul Sun-Hyung Lee (Uncle Iroh), Ken Leung (Commander Zhao), and Lim Kay Siu (Monk Gyatso). “Avatar: The Last Airbender” is currently shooting in Vancouver.
