It’s the moment CARATS have been waiting for – SEVENTEEN’s Woozi has just announced the release date and name for his first-ever solo mixtape! “Ruby,” set to drop on January 3, marks the first solo body of work to be released by Woozi since his debut with SEVENTEEN back in 2015. The teaser showcases a black background with the text “Ruby” in glowing red letters, further fueling the anticipation of what kind of sounds this mixtape would feature. As the vocal unit leader and the brains behind many of the group’s hit songs, his mixtape is something tons of people are looking forward to. Earlier this year, it was revealed that Woozi, a member of the Korean Music Copyright Association, reached a spot in the Top 20 producers list, with more than 100 songs under his belt. It can also be noted that he recently won the Best Producer Award at the 2021 Asia Artist Awards, making him the youngest recipient in the history of that award! In an exclusive interview with Marie Claire magazine, Woozi released the statement: “I ultimately asked myself, ‘What kind of music does the musician Woozi make?’, and I made a mixtape which answers that question.” So exciting!!
