SEVENTEEN’S Vernon Is Recruited For Charli XCX’s New “Beg For You” Remix

After a series of back-and-forth tweets between Charli XCX and SEVENTEEN’s Vernon – a highly-anticipated collaboration is finally here! It all started with Charli XCX taking to social media and asking her followers who they would like to see her collaborate with on a remix of her single, “Beg For You,” featuring Japanese singer, Rina Sawayama. SEVENTEEN fans ended up suggesting Vernon, who has been a long-time fan of the singer, with their overflowing of tweets being seen by Charli XCX! She asked fans “How do I get in touch with Vernon??” and once she found out his group’s official handle, she tweeted, “Hi @pledis_17 wanna collab?” It seems like Vernon was in shock to receive such an unexpected message from one of his favorite singers as he replied with, “Yes! I can’t believe this is real!” The new remix, which includes additional production from PC Music head A.G. Cook, features a brand-new verse from Vernon, and participation of SEVENTEEN’s producer, BUMZU, who assisted in composing. Take a listen to the track down below!

In other SEVENTEEN updates, Pledis Entertainment confirmed that Vernon has unfortunately tested positive for COVID-19 on February 25. While he did have contact with bandmates DK, Dino, S.Coups, and Woozi, prior to his diagnosis, they have all tested negative. After the announcement, Vernon took to Weverse to assure fans that he will rest well and make a quick recovery. He also stated, “Sorry if I made you worry. Hope to see you in a week! Stay safe.” Get well soon, Vernon!
