The first batch of performers for the 2022 Grammy Awards have been announced and it’s already featuring some powerful Asian representation! Korean superstars, BTS, will be gracing the Grammy stage for their third performance on the show over the course of four years that they’ve been attending. The mega group also celebrates their second-ever Grammy nomination for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance with their hit song, “Butter.” The septet had an unbelievable year that included their first live concerts overseas after more than two years, selling out the famed SoFi Stadium. Filipina-American artist, Olivia Rodrigo, who undoubtedly had an incredibly successful 2021 with her award-winning album, “Sour,” featuring chart-topping tracks, “drivers license” and “good 4 u,” has also been announced to be performing at the 2022 Grammy Awards. The singer/songwriter is nominated for a whopping seven awards, including: Best Pop Solo Performance, Best Pop Vocal Album, Best Music Video, Best New Artist, Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Album of the Year. Along with the announcement of BTS and Olivia, Billie Eilish, Brandi Carlile, Brothers Osborne, Lil Nas X and Jack Harlow have also been confirmed to be performing at music’s biggest night. The 2022 Grammy Awards will air live from Las Vegas on April 3rd!
