
TV’s most mysterious hooded character, “A,” is back and ready to taunt a whole new group of gals! HBO Max’s original series, “Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin,” will follow the stories of high school clique, Imogen (Bailee Madison), Noa (Maia Reficco), Tabby (Chandler Kinney), Faran (Zaria), Karen (Mallory Bechtel), and Minnie (Malia Pyles). The description posted under the new teaser of the highly-anticipated show states, “Twenty years ago, a series of tragic events almost ripped the blue-collar town of Millwood apart. Now, in present day, a disparate group of teen girls — a brand-new set of Little Liars — find themselves tormented by an unknown Assailant and made to pay for the secret sin committed by their parents two decades ago…as well as their own. In the dark, coming-of-age, horror-tinged drama Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin, we find ourselves miles away from Rosewood, but within the existing Pretty Little Liars universe — in a brand-new town, with a new generation of Little Liars.”
As one of the leads in the upcoming series, it’s refreshing to see Filipino talent such as Malia Pyles, representing on screen, of a strong character. Malia is set to play the role of Minnie, described as the youngest of the Little Liars, that has survived childhood trauma and spends most of her time in a virtual world. Malia is best known for playing Zach Galifianakis’ daughter in the FX comedy Baskets as well as her recurring role on the CW’s Batwoman.
