Some of music’s biggest artists gathered at the Prudential Center in New Jersey for the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards, where it was announced that BLACKPINK, SEVENTEEN and BTS all won awards in their respective categories! Out of the three groups, BLACKPINK attended the show in person, where they performed their latest single, “PINK VENOM,” and won the award for “Best Metaverse Performance” with “Ready For Love,” a PUBG collaboration. BLACKPINK member, LISA, won the award for “Best K-Pop” with her solo track, “LALISA.” 13-member group, SEVENTEEN, took home the award for “Push Performance of the Year” with their performance of hit single, “Rock With You.” Although the group couldn’t make it to the live show due to currently being on their own U.S. Tour with “Be The Sun,” members Mingyu, Jeonghan, Vernon, Seungkwan, and S.Coups shared a video message where they acknowledged the honor of the award and thanked their beloved CARATS for their constant love and support. Towards the end of the evening, it was announced that mega-group BTS won the award for “Group of the Year,” making this their fourth consecutive year winning in this category.
