Kim Namjoon, better known as BTS’ RM, has released his long-awaited first official solo album, “Indigo,” following the success of fellow member, J-Hope’s release of his first solo album, “Jack in the Box.” Every part about “Indigo” reflects RM’s true self – from his inner thoughts, outspoken opinions, and his feelings on past memories and present mindset. The album features a total of ten tracks, with most songs featuring incredible collaborations: “Wild Flower (with youjeen),” “Yun (with Erykah Badu),” “Still Life (with Anderson.Paak),” “All Day (with Tablo),” “Forg_tful (with Kim Sawol),” “Closer (with Paul Blanco, Mahalia),” “Change pt.2,” “Lonely,” “Hectic (with Colde)” and “No.2 (with parkjiyoon).”
The interesting title, “Indigo,” is the natural hue that represents RM’s love for natural things – from nature, to texture, to art. As a low-key dedication to being a well-known art lover, the album’s cover art shows the singer/rapper in a denim look along with a painting called “Blue,” by late Korean painter Yun Hyong-keun.
Along with the release of the album, RM also unveiled the music video for the lead single, “Wild Flower (with youjeen).” In the official press release, “’Wild Flower (with youjeen)’ conveys RM’s desire to live like humble and tranquil wildflowers rather than a flamboyant flame that quickly vanishes.” Check out the stunning music video down below and be sure to stream “Indigo” now available on all music streaming platforms!
