Self-Producing K-Pop Girl Group, (G)I-DLE, Makes History Charting On Radio Top 40

K-Pop girl group, (G)I-DLE, are entering music charts left and right with their latest single, “Nxde.” MIYEON, MINNIE, SOYEON, YUQI, and SHUHUA are known to be a self-producing team, making their presence on music charts even more fulfilling, especially to expand their appeal to an American audience. “Nxde” was named one of Rolling Stone’s “100 Best Songs of 2022” and ranked #39 on Mediabase’s Top 40 Radio Airplay charts, it has also officially debuted at #40 on the Billboard Pop Airplay Chart for the very first time! This is a monumental move not only for (G)I-DLE, but ultimately, for non-English tracks to make their way into mainstream music charts. Popular 102.7 KIIS FM’s host, JoJo Wright, shares, “This is a very historical moment for (G)I-DLE as a self-producing group in the American market since the song is predominantly in Korean. On top of their ascending success, I believe that (G)I-DLE has a huge potential to bring something new with K-pop to the US market.” 2022 was an incredible year for the powerhouse girl group – aside from the success that “Nxde” brought, their music has truly cemented itself in the hearts of fans worldwide after the release of their first full album, “I NEVER DIE,” which reached new heights by topping the iTunes charts in 24 countries and placing at number 58 on “Billboard Global 200.” (G)I-DLE followed that up with their 5th mini-album, “I love,” that surpassed over 700k stock pre-orders and entered into the Billboard 200 charts, as well as a world tour, which took the group to 18 cities and 10 countries.
