After an outstanding appearance and performance at KCON LA 2023 this past weekend, global girl group, XG, have unveiled their latest digital single, “NEW DANCE,” as well as the visual accompaniment. This release comes ahead of their 1st mini-album, “NEW DNA,” which is scheduled to drop on September 27th – it can be noted that “NEW DANCE” is the third single from the mini-album, after the pre-release of tracks, “GRL GVNG” and “TGIF.” XG continues to impress millions of fans and listeners across the globe with their incredible skillset of singing, dancing, and rapping, on top of their futuristic, yet fresh visuals and style.
According to the official press release, “NEW DANCE” is described as “an uplifting dance track featuring prominent guitar riffs and hi-hats and a catchy chorus that adds color to the entire song. The lyrics convey a message of enjoying yourself and dancing as if nobody is watching.” Along with this, the music video also showcases stunning backdrops of majestic locations such as the sunset by the beach, rooftops under clear blue skies, and fun city landscapes depicting the perfect summer in XG’s world.
JURIN, CHISA, HARVEY, HINATA, JURIA, MAYA and COCONA are on a roll with their international accolades after most recently being announced as Apple Music’s global Up Next Artist, an artist initiative that aims to discover, introduce, and nurture emerging talent. XG makes history being the first Japanese group to be chosen for the program, which has included past talents such as: Daniel Caesar, Billie Eilish, Bad Bunny, and Khalid.
