After debuting back in 2020, K-Pop girl group, cignature, continues to shine! Most recently, they released their fourth EP, Us in the Summer, which highlights the happy, refreshing, and nostalgic days of the feeling that summer brings. The comeback includes four new tracks which share the stories of different experiences of youth: “어젯밤 이야기 (Mess With My Mind),” a track all about the complexity of love, “안녕, 인사해 (Smooth Sailing),” the EP’s title song, is a story of trivial love, while “Sorry So Sorry,” describes a love we want but comes along with too many worries about it. Us in the Summer wraps up with “Little Me,” an emotional song that attempts to comfort an anxious inner child.
In collaboration with Helix Publicity and cignature, Arambulo Live was invited to a special round table session with the group, alongside fellow members of the press, to talk about Us in the Summer. Our personal favorite track on the album is “Little Me,” which truly brings out the nostalgic emotions and dives into a retrospective moment that was beautifully portrayed through the song. We asked cignature about a core memory from their own youth that comes to mind when they listen to the tracks of Us in the Summer. Member CHAESOL answered, “When I was younger, I lived in an apartment with a stream in front of it. I have fond memories of playing in the water, having fun with friends, enjoying an ice cream, spending quality time with my parents, and going on bike rides. Listening to this album evokes those cherished summer memories and I get very happy.”
Actively promoting for this comeback are members JEEWON, SEMI, CHAESOL, BELLE, SELINE, CHLOE, and DOHEE. BELLE is unfortunately not a part of this comeback due to her participation in SBS’ audition program, Universe Ticket.
Us in the Summer is now available on all music streaming platforms worldwide!
