Stray Kids are continuing to dominate the world! The K-Pop powerhouse group has been announced to have made the 2023 list of TIME Magazine’s “Next Generation Leaders”! This annual list recognizes trailblazers and rising stars in a diverse array of genres including music, politics, business, culture, science, and sports. In regards to Stray Kids’ success, TIME Magazine reporter, Chad de Guzman, wrote: “The band’s grungier headbanging anthems, which incorporate rock, EDM, and even industrial leanings, were initially criticized for being too noisy and eclectic compared to their glossier K-pop contemporaries. Yet instead of shifting gears to pander to expectations for Korean boy groups, Stray Kids embraced their distinct sound… Straying from expectations became a recipe for global success.” Stray Kids member Changbin shared, “The goal is to continuously pioneer new [musical] subjects and to have our music be recognized as a ‘Stray Kids’ genre.”

Stray Kids is currently preparing for the release of their upcoming album, “樂-STAR (‘ROCK-STAR’),” which is set to drop on November 10th. The new album arrives five months after the release of their full-length album, “5-Star,” to which “樂-STAR (‘ROCK-STAR’)” will have a close relationship with. In preparation for this, the group unveiled a prologue video that follows the story of a child preparing to perform on a stage in a band. Aussie members Felix and Bang Chan narrate the video, stating, “The anxiety is something we create ourselves, we believe that you’ll do great if you can get beyond these emotions and enjoy these moments. Let’s show them how we rock!”

Check out the prologue video down below and stay tuned for more updates. Congratulations, Stray Kids!
