Three of the Philippines’ most beloved artists, Jed Madela, Sheryn Regis, and Jona, are set to visit the U.S. this February to serenade our Kapamilya’s during the month of love. Aside from sharing their talents with audiences in America at 3 different venues, the trio are also celebrating the 30th anniversary of The Filipino Channel (TFC) through this tour. Presented by TFC and New Paradise Entertainment, Jed, Sheryn, and Jona will be performing at the Cache Creek Casino in Brooks, CA on February 2, Choctaw Casino and Resort in Durant, OK on February 3, and Fantasy Springs Resort Casino in Indio, CA on February 10th.
During an intimate media conference with the three spectacular singers, we asked about any particular love song that gets them emotional when they perform it and why. Jona kicked off the answers by stating, “Kahit Isang Saglit“ and Barbara Streisand’s “A Piece of Sky“ as these tracks remind her of her late father, referring to a moment during her concert where she couldn’t get through the performance without crying. For Sheryn, she noted the song “Minsan Ang Minahal Ay Ako,” and dedicated the meaning of the track to her fans and listeners, hoping that her supporters would always love her – a love song for her fans and for herself and what she has accomplished. As for Jed, The Carpenters’ famous hit, “I Won’t Last A Day Without You” is one that gets him emotional as he looks back on personal experiences over the course of the past few months and years, as well as a dedication for all of the supporters who never left his side since day 1.
Jed, Sheryn, and Jona have all had such colorful careers individually, totaling the span of their longevity to almost 60 years in the music industry amongst the three of them, respectfully. From releasing hit songs that have become classics, to touring the world and performing at incredible venues – what else do they want to do? Jona has a ton of amazing and exciting dreams – writing and releasing her own songs, directing her own concerts, dancing and acting, and so much more. For Sheryn, her passion for the stage wants to evolve into starring on Broadway – a perfect mix of music and acting! Jed looks forward to all of the opportunities the world has to give, including acting, on screen and on stage, as well as producing concerts and shows for other talents.
