Dubbed as one of the most successful Metro Manila Film Festivals following the overwhelming amount of support and positive feedback, the stars and filmmakers of the 10 MMFF entries are set to take over Hollywood to debut their films at the 2024 Manila International Film Festival (MIFF) from January 29 through February 2. During this week, the talents will attend screenings at the TCL Chinese Theatre to introduce their films as well as participate in the Q&A sessions following their movie – a perfect intimate moment for the movie-loving attendees! Capping off the week will be a star-studded closing night awards gala where various awards will be handed out including the “Best Picture” award, voted on by an independent jury of film professionals and the “Audience Award,” voted by MIFF moviegoers at the screenings. Legendary actress, Hilda Koronel, is set to receive the inaugural Monty Manibog Lifetime Achievement Award.  

Participating talents flying in from the Philippines include: Piolo Pascual, Dingdong Dantes, Alden Richards, Christopher De Leon, John Arcilla, Janella Salvador, Enchong Dee, Cedric Juan, Eugene Domingo, Christian Bables, Beauty Gonzalez and Ysabel Ortega.

The 10 films from the 2023 Metro Manila Film Festival reached a historic box office achievement raking in more than P1 billion, making it the biggest-grossing edition in the festival’s history, triggering the given title as the ultimate “Return of Philippine Cinema.”
