One of K-Pop’s favorite trio groups, BSS (BooSeokSoon), consisting of SEVENTEEN members Hoshi, DK, and Seungkwan, are making their highly-anticipated comeback! BSS dropped their 2nd single album, TELEPARTY, on January 8th and includes three special tracks: “Happy Alone,” “Love Song,” and the lead single, “CBZ (Prime time)”. The album title, TELEPARTY, is a blend of the words “telepathy” and “party,” a wonderful description of what BSS stands for as they make it their mission to spread happiness and positive energy to their listeners.
“CBZ (Prime time),” an acronym for CheongBaZi, which directly translates to “Jeans,” an abbreviated expression in Korea meaning “Youth Is Now,” is commonly used in group chants to connect the celebration of youth and cherishing the present. From the album, this lead single is the only track that is accompanied by an official music video which you can check out below! The swing jazz and country music inspired track’s MV features a list of star-studded cameos, Uhm Jung-hwa, Jung Young-joo, Kal Sowon, and Moon Sang-hoon, as they celebrate youth from all walks of life. “Happy Alone” is a track that sings of treating yourself to your own party after a long, tiring day. “Love Song” is a beautiful R&B love ballad capturing the longing to reconnect with the past. Not surprisingly, Hoshi, DK, and Seungkwan all have credits for lyrics on TELEPARTY, with fellow SEVENTEEN member, WOOZI and SEVENTEEN producer, BUMZU, serving as composers.
BooSeokSoon didn’t hold back on their excitement of their album release with Seungkwan stating, “Thanks to the love from our fans, we were able to make a comeback as BSS. Since it’s already been two years since our last release, we’re bringing in even more energy to cheer everyone on. We hope this album will be your happy start to 2025.” DK added, “We’ve filled the album with great songs including the lead single “CBZ (Prime time),” full of youthful energy. BSS promise to always cheer for the youth of our listeners. We’ll give it our all for this release, so please stay tuned.” Hoshi wrapped it up with a sweet message sharing, “Being young doesn’t guarantee youth, and being old doesn’t deprive one of it. Anyone who finds joy in the moment is youthful. BSS will always be supporters of youth for our listeners. We hope this album brings strength and encouragement to many.”
