After 15 years with GMA, actress Lovi Poe has transferred over to ABS-CBN and inked her contract on September 16 to officially be a Kapamilya. For the very first time as an ABS-CBN talent, a special media conference was held between Lovi and the media from all over the globe. We had the opportunity to talk to the actress during this media con where she shared the deciding factor of what made her want to make this big move and go down a new path, in which she answered, “I’m very much grateful. I’ve been blessed to work with the best of the best of GMA, the best creatives and best set of actors. Now, I just feel like it’s time to work with the best of the best of ABS-CBN. I’m looking forward to working with amazing actors and directors and everyone. Most importantly, making new friends. I think that’s the biggest factor.” In terms of what her goals and expectations are now that she is a Kapamilya, Lovi shared, “More than anything, my main goal is to be myself and do what I usually do on a day-to-day basis which is to do my best when it comes to work. I don’t really expect anything, I’m just looking forward to all of the amazing things that are about to happen!” Throughout the media conference, Lovi insisted her gratefulness towards her time with GMA and it’s staff whom she has shared many years with. She also revealed that she would love to work with ABS-CBN stars, Coco Martin, Paulo Avelino, Kim Chiu, Kathryn Bernardo, Liza Soberano and more, with hopes to star in a remake of her father, Fernando Poe Jr.’s “Panday” as a female version. After the shooting for her upcoming international film, “The Chelsea Cowboy,” set to take place next month, Lovi will fly back to the Philippines to film her first major project with ABS-CBN, “Flower of Evil.” She is set to star alongside Piolo Pascual, who also just renewed his contract with ABS-CBN, for this Filipino Adaptation of the Korean drama. Congratulations, Lovi!
