BTS Sweep Awards At 2021 AMA’s + Nominated For 2022 Grammy Award

Any time the world’s biggest boy band, BTS, is in Los Angeles – time stops and everyone is in awe of the septet! This was proved over the weekend when RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook attended the 2021 American Music Awards held at the Microsoft Theater. The members showed up on the red carpet wearing various shades of grey as the fans, staff and media were left starstruck after seeing BTS in person. The mega-group was nominated for three awards and took home all three including: Favorite Pop Duo, Favorite Pop Song for “Butter,” and the Artist of the Year award, making the group the first Asian artists to win the highly-coveted award. Along with their major wins, they also wowed the audiences in person and worldwide as they graced the AMA stage twice – first, a magical performance of “My Universe” with Coldplay and an epic stage of their hit song, “Butter.” After more than 8 years in the industry together, the group has remained humble with leader RM stating in their Artist of the Year acceptance speech, “Seven boys from Korea, united by love for music, met the love and support from all of the armies all over the world. This whole thing is a miracle. Seriously, we would never take this for granted.”

Just today, it was announced that BTS is also nominated for a 2022 Grammy for the “Best Pop Duo/Group Performance” category, marking this the second time the group has been nominated for a Grammy! The members were in attendance for the Grammy Nominations event as presenters this morning where they announced the nominees for the “Best Alternative Music Album,” which includes one of the group’s closest friends in the industry – Halsey – as a nominee for her album, “If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power.” Despite BTS being nominated for one category, their undeniable success and talent is being proven time and time again, as everything they touch and work on turns to gold. They’re not dubbed “The Celebrities of Celebrities” for nothing! BTS is currently preparing for four sold-out shows at the SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, CA on November 27 and 28 and December 1 and 2 as well as a stage at 102.7 KIIS FM’s Jingle Ball concert on December 3.
