SEVENTEEN’s rapper, Vernon, surprised fans as he dropped a new solo song titled, “Bands Boy.” With lyrics written by Vernon himself, he also participated in co-composing the trap-inspired track alongside producer Cribs. “Bands Boy” is Vernon’s first solo release since 2015, when he dropped the tracks “Lotto,” “B Boy,” and “Lizzie Velasquez.” Of course, since then, Vernon has been very involved in the creation of many of SEVENTEEN’s hit songs, most recently on his duet song with fellow member, Joshua, titled “2 Minus 1” which was featured on their latest mini-album, “Attacca” released in October. SEVENTEEN just wrapped up 3 online concerts this past week and will be gearing up for a handful of performances and appearances for the upcoming end-of-the-year award shows in South Korea. The group is also rumored to be planning a world tour early next year after 2 years of holding online events due to the pandemic.
