Long-time couple, AJ Rafael and Alyssa Navarro, are gearing up to start their own podcast – The Sweet or Savory Podcast! The duo announced the exciting news on Instagram, noting that they were inspired to take on this new venture because of how much fun they had debating on whether peanut butter is sweet or savory, further fueling their curiosity to continue having conversations (or debates, really…) on other interesting polarizing topics. AJ Rafael is a Filipino-American singer/songwriter who has been creating content for years and is one of the OG’s of YouTube, where he is known to have been posting his music since the beginning of the platform. AJ is also incredibly involved in the AAPI Community, having started Crazy Talented Asians back in 2018, to showcase AAPI talent in the performing arts community. His beautiful fiancée, Alyssa, is the ultimate definition of girl boss, as she is an Executive Producer at The Walt Disney Studios and helped create the Disney Launchpad Shorts Incubator on Disney+. She also most recently made the Forbes 30 Under 30 list for her incredible accomplishments! Aside from their individual endeavors, Alyssa and AJ together head the clothing brand, Kuyate, and released a special collaboration with Dante Basco’s directorial debut film, Fabulous Filipino Brothers, for a 3-panel hood fleece-lined pullover with the text on the front reading “Fabulous Filipino.” The film, in which AJ led the musical score, will be released on February 8th!
