BTS’ V Makes History And Breaks Records With Track “Christmas Tree”

BTS as a whole is known to break boundaries, break records and conquer the global music charts together. But as individuals, they’re just as powerful! BTS’ V is making history by debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard Digital Song Sales Chart for his track, “Christmas Tree,” featured as the soundtrack for the K-drama, “Our Beloved Summer.” The chart is a weekly ranking of the best-selling songs in the United States, making V the first Korean solo artist to ever debut at the top spot and the track becoming the first Korean OST to debut at No. 1! “Christmas Tree” has also made it’s way into the Hot 100, debuting at No. 79, making V the third member, following j-hope and SUGA, to chart a solo song on the highly-coveted Hot 100. V, also known as Kim Taehyung, isn’t a stranger to lending his voice to the soundtrack of his friend’s projects. With “Christmas Tree” as the OST for his close friend, Choi Woo Shik’s “Our Beloved Summer,” V has also sung on the soundtrack for Park Seo Joon’s drama, “Itaewon Class,” releasing the hit song, “Sweet Night.” It can also be remembered that both V and his BTS bandmate, Jin, sang the theme song for V’s acting debut drama, “Hwarang,” titled “It’s Definitely You (Even If I Die, It’s You)” back in 2016, also starring Park Seo Joon, Park Hyunsik, Choi Min Ho and more. Congratulations, V!!
