The future is bright for musical group, XODIAC, who have just changed their name from being originally known as OCJ NEWBIES. The group has yet to debut, but have already created buzz by featuring in top fashion magazines as the first K-Pop group to be included in these shoots prior to their official debut, and just a few days ago, winning two awards at the Weibo Account Festival 2022 held in Japan. Continuing to make history, they are the first rookie group to take home two trophies from an award show pre-debut, in which they won “Potential New Boys Group, ” and XODIAC leader Lex, being the first solo pre-debut artist to receive the “Fashion Rookie” award. The Weibo Account Festival 2022 is an award ceremony that recognizes global actors, artists, cultural figures, characters, and companies who are active in China’s largest social media platform “WEIBO,” and have a great influence in China. On behalf of the entire group, members Lex and Beomsoo were present to accept the awards and were dapperly decked out in Dolce & Gabbana, having their much talked about features in fashion magazines play out in real life, truly showcasing the fashion power these guys hold.

XODIAC has confirmed 13 members, but their agency has stated that it will eventually consist of sixteen or more members, with the boys hailing from various parts of Asia such as: Korea, China, Hong Kong and Indonesia. The group will include members Dongbin and Hyunsik, who will be familiar to Produce X 101 fans as previous contestants, dance leader Lex, who has been learning modern dance since childhood and has won several national dance awards in Korea, and members who have been past contestants of various music competition shows such as: Loud, World Klass, We Are Young, and Stars Awakening. We look forward to XODIAC’s highly-anticipated debut in early 2023. Stay tuned for more updates!
