Josh Cullen Santos has arrived and boy, is it a powerful beginning for him! The SB19 member is embarking on his solo musical endeavors outside of the mega-popular P-Pop group for the very first time through the release of his debut single, “Wild Tonight.” Written and produced by Josh and his cousin/fellow artist, Ocho, The Bullet, “Wild Tonight” incorporates sounds of EDM, Pop, and Hip-Hop, which Josh flawlessly blended together in the track’s final execution. The English-Tagalog track sings about being free from anything that holds you down and just letting loose.
This solo project was the perfect opportunity to truly showcase Josh’s creative mind and ideas, and this was definitely conveyed in the official music video for the song, which he spearheaded when it came to the overall concept, choreography, and creative direction. Obtaining inspiration from the film, Nosferatu, the visual follows the lifestyle of vampire royalty living in various incarnations, from living in a Victorian mansion, to partying it up in a modern-style club. Josh has been described as a go-getter and someone who will do anything he can to make his dreams and visions come to life and “Wild Tonight” is the best representation of his character.
Josh, along with his group SB19, have consistently been vocal about the “P-Pop Rise” movement, and he contributed to this by including fellow P-Pop artists, DIONE, 1st.One, and KAIA in the music video – so heartwarming to see!
