P-Pop continues to rise after its proven power during the PPOPCON MANILA 2023 event this past weekend! The best of the best of its genre came together at both the 3-day long convention held at the Quantum Skyview and star-studded concert held at the famed Araneta Coliseum, where both P-Pop idols and fans alike, showed off their talents, dedicated support, and love for the rising genre.

The convention that kicked off on Friday, July 14th, featured tons of booths put on by the artists’ fanbases with freebies, games, and giveaways, as well as spaces from the artists themselves which sold their own products, such as SB19 Ken’s popular clothing line – SUPERIORSON, and SB19 Pablo’s line – RADKIDZ. The convention’s main stage included tons of activities for the attendees including: dance classes, open stage, auditions, special performances from SKOUTS, BILIB, 6ENSE, ECLIPSE, BLVCK FLOWERS, SMS, R RULES, MONA, VALFER, VER5US, DAYDREAM, YARA, YES MY LOVE, Z2Z, DIONE, and The Juans, meet and greets with G22, KAIA, ALAMAT, 1st.ONE, and JOSH CULLEN, and surprise appearances from BGYO and SB19’s Pablo, Ken, Justin and Stell!

The live concert which concluded the three-day event was held at the famous Araneta Coliseum and was simultaneously live-streamed via iWantTFC. Prior to the star-studded concert, special red carpet access was given to the press, lucky fans, and those who purchased the option on iWantTFC. This was a new portion to the event compared to last year, and included the show’s host, VJ Ai, introducing some of the talent that performed at the convention and the live concert. YARA kicked off the show with powerful performances, and was followed by incredible stages from YES MY LOVE, DIONE, CALISTA, PPOPGEN, MNL48, Press Hit Play, KAIA, HORI7ON (via telecast, as the group is in South Korea), 1st.ONE, MNL48’s SHEKI, G22, BGYO, ALAMAT, VXON (via telecast, as the group is in America), FELIP, BINI, JOSH CULLEN, and closed out by SB19.

PPOPCON MANILA 2023 is another major step forward for its rising genre, whose goal is to spread on a global level and represent true, original, Pinoy music. The event impressively showcased the undeniable talents of all the groups and performers involved, further drawing interest from fans and casuals all around the world. Each stage featured original songs written by the members and groups themselves – amazing!
