Following the mega-success of the Korean drama series, “It’s Okay To Not Be Okay” back in 2020, the Philippines will be the first country to create their own adaptation of the hit show that will feature some of the Philippines’ top actors. In a project announcement event held at ABS-CBN, it was officially revealed to the public that Carlo Aquino will be playing the character of Matthew “MatMat” Gonzales (Moon Sang Tae), Anne Curtis as Emilia “Mia” Hernandez (Ko Moon-young), and Joshua Garcia as Patrick “PatPat” Gonzales (Moon Gang-tae). The exciting project will be Anne Curtis’ return to a drama series after 10 years.

During the event, it was also announced that Mae Cruz-Alviar will be directing the project, her next body of work following the groundbreaking success of the series, “Can’t Buy Me Love,” starring Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano. Much like the original show, the Philippine adaptation of “It’s Okay To Not Be Okay” will also film in beautiful locations such as the Negros province and Iloilo City, set to showcase the beauty of the country.

“It’s Okay Not To Be Okay” will be a production by Star Creatives and will stream on Netflix soon. Stay tuned for more updates!
